Preparing for an Achievement and Development Review for Reviewers and Reviewees

Target Audience: All Staff (Reviewer and Reviewee)
This workshop will support all staff to prepare for Achievement and Development Reviews (ADR). It will run through the value and benefits of a meaningful ADR conversation; how to plan, prepare and structure a meaningful ADR conversation; and create objectives that are SMART and outcome focused. It will also cover how to create a safe and supportive space for when the ADR conversation takes place and tips for reviewees on taking ownership for their professional development e.g. mentoring, job shadowing etc. It will also provide clarity around roles and expectations, share recommendations for best practice and identify where to find additional support and resources.
This workshop will cover:
- Describe the value and benefits of a meaningful ADR conversation,
- Plan, prepare and structure a meaningful ADR conversation,
- Create objectives that are SMART and outcome focussed,
- Identify where to find additional support and resources.
Furthermore, participants should feel more confident in what they need to do, who needs to do what before, during and after the ADR conversation to set themselves up for the year ahead.
