The CGPE had the pleasure to host James Hamber (2nd year student in Philosophy, Politics and Economics) as a Junior Research Associate, during the Summer term. James conducted research on ‘Rethinking our Monetary System’ under the supervision of Dr Andreas Antoniades, focusing on the current monetary system, and possible alternatives. His plan is to continue this research with the aim of providing an answer on how to create a monetary system that best serves society, and then get it implemented. In his own words: “I am not satisfied when I look around at how we live. I know a better world is possible and I hope that it will come, my aspiration is to help this happen”.
