The Dalziel Public and Educational Programme aims to extend the reach of the Dalziel Project beyond the realms of academia and encourage schools, art clubs, artists, designers, historians, and interested individuals to engage with the archive. On Saturday 8th April 2017, we were joined in the Prints and Drawings study room at the British Museum by ten contemporary artists – specialising in wood engraving and printmaking – for a day of discussion and study of the Dalziel Archive. Each artist was sent a digital album ahead of the workshop, and on the day presented their thoughts and insights to the group, sharing knowledge across the fields of practice and research. Below are some images of the day.
