Brief descriptive contents of mosaic: | Tesserae found on the site of the Sanctuary of Apollo Klarios, part of a wall or vault mosaic decoration of an early Byzantine church constructed second half of fifth, or early sixth century. This is in the Lower Agora. The temple was dismantled in the fifth century and rebuilt as a basilica with a narthex, three entrances on the west side and an apse on the east side. |
