Our Employee Assistance Programme provider has changed

The University has changed its Employee Assistance Programme provider from Care First to Health Assured Ltd, providing a more comprehensive service for Sussex staff and an evidence-based app providing in-depth tools and support to improve your mental wellbeing,
Care First have confirmed that they will continue to support staff who are working with them currently (e.g. counselling or advice). Staff in this situation should feel free to continue using the Care First service if they wish.
Through the Health Assured portal, staff can access information, advice and learning on a range of practical and wellbeing topics including healthy living, finances, personal, family or work life. Health Assured also offers a 24 hour, seven days a week, confidential helpline for urgent support on any of these topics.
Support from Health Assured is designed to be preventative and pro-active as well as ready to help in moments of crisis. Through the Health Assured portal staff can find:
- Telephone Support which can be accessed confidentially 24/7 365 days-a-year
- Counselling – up to 8 sessions either face to face, online or by telephone
- Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Bereavement Support
- Legal Information Service
- Medical Information
- Online support – access to wellbeing resources including webinars, factsheets, mini-health checks etc.
- Personal Health Risk Assessment Tool (via app)
