The SDDC at the Bright Sparks weekend

Brighton Science Festival
PhD students from the SDDC will be putting on an event at the Bright Sparks weekend entitled ‘Making Marvellous Medicines’ as part of the Brighton Science Festival, aiming to introduce children from 7 to 14 to the concept of drug discovery.
We rely on a pharmacopeia of medicines to keep us well and cure disease, but how are new medicines discovered? From finding which part of the cell to treat to testing the results, the event aims to give children insight into this process. More information about the weekend can be found at:
