Do you live, work or travel in the East Sussex County Council (ESCC) area? Have your say and help the ESCC build their local travel plan & move towards net zero carbon.
The East Sussex County Council, independent from Brighton & Hove City Council, are running a consultation on their local transport plan, which sets out their aims to decarbonise transport, develop healthy places and conserve the local environment.
We want you to have your say on the future of transport in the County. Respond to the consultation by 25 February 2024, and tell ESCC what you think of the draft Local Transport Plan 2024 – 2050.
The East Sussex draft Local Transport Plan 2024 – 2050 (also known as LTP4) sets out how they will plan and provide transport for residents, businesses and visitors in East Sussex now and for future generations, to help connect them with the places they need to go on a daily basis.
The Local Transport Plan will be used to:
-
enable safer and more accessible journeys
-
develop healthy places to enable people to live well
-
decarbonise transport to help ESCC to achieve net zero targets by 2050 at the latest
-
maintain and strengthen ESCC transport networks so that they are resilient
-
support a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable economy within ESCC coastal towns, market towns and villages in more rural areas
Whether you commute to campus from the East Sussex County Council area, travel through the area on your onwards journey, travel to work in the area, or visit the area at the weekend, join the conversation on the new travel plan and make your voice heard!
