Migration and Climate Change Resource Guide
There has been a recent surge of interest in the migration – climate change nexus, as demonstrated by new Migration DRC research and a selection of recent reports and academic papers, presented below.
Difficulties in making assessments and forecasts remain a key area of investigation. Indeed migration has taken place in most parts of the world without reference to climate change; migration is a multi-causal phenomenon where the impact of climate change as a specific factor is difficult to discern.
This resource guide aims to point policy-makers and researchers towards recent work by Migration DRC and other institutions on this important topic. Those interested in further reading on migration and climate change can also consult the additional list of relevant publications/resources provided.
